5 Reasons Why You Should Do Your YTT In Bali

  1. Amazing Food

Bali is easily one of those places where you get a lot of bang for your buck. The quality of produce, the variety of cuisine, and the way they plate the food is pure art. Some of our favourite places to eat in Ubud are : Zest - for an amazing view and top tier pizza. Alchemy - great ambiance and vegan dishes (also great pizza and papaya spring rolls). Pomegranate - watch the sunset and chill in the rice fields.

2. Nature GALORE

The breath taking views of the rice fields, jungle, or turquoise oceans is enough to make you want to stay forever. Every sunset will have you pulling over to the side of the road to watch the magic. The monkey forrest in Ubud is such a magical place to get lost in. Witness the breathtaking views over looking the ocean from the cliff side, at the Istana in Uluwatu. The raw nature of Bali will make going deep into your spiritual practice easy and supported and needless to say there is something there for everyone. Surfing in Canggu, dolphin catching in Lovina, it’s all amazing and it’s all super accessible and drivable by scooter.

3. Yoga Heaven

Once you arrive to Bali you’ll see why so many spiritual teachers have chosen to make it their home base. The quality of living is so affordable and the like minded community makes maintaining your spiritual practice easy. Check out all the offerings for yoga workshops, trainings, ecstatic dance and so much more at The Yoga Barn, or Karma House Bali where Soul School Yoga is hosting their 200 hour Yoga teacher training and Reiki certification.

4. Spiritual Culture

Bali is one the most high vibrational place in the world, mainly because gratitude offerings are made daily, actually 15 times a day! On sidewalks in front of shops in Ubud, in temples, on family compounds, and inside hotels– even on beaches!– it’s possible to spot little piles of colorful petals in square baskets made of palm tree leaves, which are then topped by a single stick of incense.

Flower offerings are a daily act of nature-based devotion; a Thank-You to the Gods and a way to placate demons; a selfless act in a selfie-obsessed universe.

Called canang sari, Balinese flower offerings are made by women, who arrange the petals that symbolize different Gods. They braid or sew the palm leaves, and then bless them with a douse of holy water. Red flowers represent Brahma, yellow flowers (generally frangipani), stand for Shiva (Mahadeva), and blue or green ones represent Vishnu.

Making it a perfect place to sink deeper into your spiritual practice and the energy of the island, its people, and your power.

5. All Your Future BFF’s Will Be There

Soul School attracts a certain type of soul, and its hard to leave without meeting a bunch of humans who are on the same path as you! We know starting a new life journey can feel lonely, but Soul School is a community of people who are on the same trajectory. Bali has so many of these archetypes, people who want to make a living being of service to people and the land. People who want to live a life with a spiritual practice yet enjoy the the simple human things like food and dance. I have met so many amazing friends in Bali, whom I go back to visit just because they are such amazing people!! Maybe your soul tribe is waiting for you in Bali?
